5. Duration

Session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed or the session ends. Persistent cookies remain until their stated expiry date, deletion by the User, or a change in settings. The period depends on the purpose and technology provider.

PayHot seeks to set a retention period proportionate to the purpose. Optional identifiers must not be stored longer than necessary for the stated analytics or functional purpose.
